Agiline EDC 2012
Product Overview
Agiline’s Electronic Direction for Complaint is a secure system that streamlines case processing from the data capture at the law enforcement agency, on through to the prosecutor’s case management assignment.
The system is adaptable and scalable for any office size. However, on initial deployment it captures:
- Case type
- Victim and Witness information
- Discovery
- Charge details
- Prior convictions
- Officer witnesses
- Defendant details and more…
Additionally, the solution can also capture images, video and other file attachments.
Current Issues
The Prosecutor’s office is responsible to receive and process accurate and complete information from Law Enforcement Agencies within strict timelines. Most agencies are required to supply a court liaison that delivers and picks Directions for Complaint and evidence on a daily basis. This process is costly, error prone, and slow. Many Prosecutor offices recognize the following issues:
- Increase in Errors: The risk of error is increased, as each time the information must be retyped into new systems.
- Inefficient use of Resources: Departments are under more pressure than ever to reduce costs, and use personnel efficiently.
- Process Delays: Without careful management, bottlenecks can develop, and slow the submission of Directions for Complaint.
Agiline’s Electronic Direction for Complaint addresses these issues by providing a secure, easy-to-use web-based interface to capture the data.
Why Use Agiline’s EDC?
- Reduce Errors: Reduce the errors associated with duplicate entry and illegible handwriting.
- Save Time: Accelerate the time in which complaints are submitted to the Prosecutors office.
- Save Money: Reduce the costs associated with double-entry and resubmissions.
