Content Management Systems
We help small and medium size businesses setup custom websites based on the free open source DotNetNuke-Community Edition content management website as a low cost website solution, or if a client's needs require, we can help businesses develop solutions with DotNetNuke-Professional Edition.
Our professionals can create custom DotNetNuke templates, skins and modules to create a website that looks like your current website or one proposed by your designers. We assist with the basic implementation and configuration as well as training your staff in the use of the content management modules included in DotNetNuke.
Changing the content of a DotNetNuke website can be configured so that one set of users create (or modify) content while another group of users can review the additions/changes and, by approving the content, automatically post it to the live web server. Older versions of the content are retained inside the management interface as needed. This paradigm of having a set of users manage what content gets pushed to the live server is known as a Content Management System (CMS).

Background About Content Management Systems
A Content Management System (CMS) is a software system used to control a dynamic collection of Web material (HTML documents, images, and other forms of media). Content Management facilitates document control, auditing, editing, and timeline management.
Features usually included in Content Management Systems include:
Automated templates
Create standard output templates (usually HTML and XML) that can be automatically applied to new and existing content, allowing the appearance of all content to be changed from one central place.
Access Control
The inclusion of permissions assigned to User Groups allows you to control how registered users interact with the site. A page on the site can be restricted to one or more groups.
Easily editable content
Once content is separated from the visual presentation of a site, it usually becomes much easier and quicker to edit and manipulate. CMS software includes WYSIWYG editing tools allowing non-technical individuals to create and edit content.
Scalable feature sets
Most CMS software includes plug-ins or modules that can be easily installed to extend an existing site's functionality.
Workflow management
Workflow is the process of creating cycles of sequential and parallel tasks that must be accomplished in the CMS. For example, one or many content creators can submit a story, but it is not published until the copy editor cleans it up and the editor-in-chief approves it.
Versioning
CMS software may allow the process of versioning, by which pages are checked in or out of the CMS, allowing authorized editors to retrieve previous versions and to continue work from a selected point. Versioning is useful for content that changes over time and requires updating, but it may be necessary to go back to or reference a previous copy.
